I attended a cooking class with Yumi at the Kookai Cooking Studio. The food that I made was tailored to my dietary needs and so different to anything that I have made or seen before, including a tofu salad, eggplant and capsicum stir fry and different types of sushi. Yumi was great at explaining the tradition behind many of the dishes, including the different types of sake you can get in Japan. What a great fun day I had.

I did my first Japanese cooking and sushi making class today with Yumi and absolutely loved it! Yumi's warm and helpful teaching style made making sushi for the first time so easy to follow. The studio is right by the Fish Market, so the ingredients were fresh and delicious and Yumi showed me how to make several authentic Japanese dishes with them that will be simple to recreate at home. I had such an enjoyable day and can't recommend this class highly enough! Make sure you don't eat a big breakfast beforehand though, because it's quite the Japanese feast and too good not to eat.
My partner and I are Vegan and The school set a new menu for us to follow. The class was so much fun and we learnt so much. I can’t believe I actually made great sushi!! This is 3 hours that you MUST do while in Tokyo. - Ms.Rebecca W
Vegan Japanese cooking class today with @kookai_cooking_studio 😋 it was an UNREAL experience, the lady running it (Yumi) was so pleasant and wonderful 😍 if she can teach us to produce this⬆ she must be doing something right

Lovely homey Japanese home cooking studio !
I visited the studio with my friend. The location was good, walking distance from either Higashi Ginza or Tsukiji. The studio was very cozy and homey. Yumi sensei’d instruction was kind, friendly and to the point.
I made temarizushi with fresh ingredients from Tsukiji market. We made sushi and had wine after the lesson. It was so much fun and I wanted to visit again for learning other Japanese dishes!!!! - Ms.Olivia Y
